What Is the Application to FBCP?
The FBCP "Discipleship Map” is built around four dimensions: exploration, acquisition, emanation, and infusion.
Journey is an overview of the four dimensions of discipleship and was offered for the first time in February 2008. This overview course is four weeks in length and will describe where we are when we begin this trip and what is takes to get a “jump-start” on the Christian life. Journey is open to those who have just made a commitment to Jesus Christ, or to someone who is searching for significance in life, and to the Christian who needs a fresh start.

Phase I was implemented in January 2008 and is called the acquisition dimension. This is intended for the person who wants to be a learner and study the disciplines that make up the Christian Life. Phase I, or the acquisition dimension, is called Abundant Life University. You will find narrative information about ALU here, or click on our Discipleship Atlas to see what was offered most recently. ALU is available to those who desire to grow in Christ and is offered through a number of courses. Our semesters begin in September and January.

Phase III will be delayed until mid 2009 and will be called the emanation dimension. This is intended for those who want to practice life together with other believers.

Phase II was added in March 2008 and is known as the exploration dimension. This is intended for those who may be seeking a new dimension in their lives. Phase II is introductory in nature. It is intended for the person who has recently accepted Jesus, or for the individual who may be searching for Him.

Phase IV will be brought on board in late 2009 and will be called the infusion dimension. This is intended for the person who wants an extended ministry to others.

We won’t tell you what groups to join or when to join them. Instead, we invite you on a journey of exploration and provide you with opportunities that you can investigate in your own time at your own pace. If you are looking for a place to start, we encourage you to use the map in this way:
