Colorado River

Join us on a daylong journey for the whole family to the Howell Canoe Livery in Columbus, Texas. We will caravan from the church at 7:15 am, take a 6 mile trip trip down the Colorado River, each lunch on a sandbar, and return home around 5:30 pm. Pay for canoe rental at Howell, but we need everyone to pre-register so we can get an idea of how many canoes to have available. Please pre-register at the link below.
Details:
- Day trip of outdoor activity for the whole family
- Leave church at 7:15 am, returning around 5:30 pm +/-
- Colorado River in Columbus at Howell Canoe Livery
- 1.5 hour drive to Columbus
- 6.1 mile river trip, with 3.5-4.5 hours on the river
- Picnic lunch on a sandbar
- Bring a small cooler for your lunch, water, snacks, sunscreen, etc.
- $35 for 2-person canoe or kayak
- $25 for 1-person kayak
- Map, paddles and life vest included
