Diaper Shower
A Huge Success
A big THANK YOU to all who contributed diapers for the Crisis Pregnancy Center. Everything we do in God's name is a pleasure to Him. These contributions are not to put on the shelves of the center but on the precious babies who are born as a result of the prayers and services provided by the Crisis Pregnancy Center and the churches who support them. Below is part of a letter written by Jean Killough, Executive Director of the Beltway 8 South CPC to supporters of the Center's ministry. It touched my heart as I am sure that it will touch yours.
"...Recently a lady stopped by the Center to show us her six-month old daughter. She described this child as her blessing. If not for the work of the Center, the lady said she would have never known her child. Long after she left our offices determined to abort, the inspirational words spoken by her counselor remained with her. She reported being extremely confused but finally chose life. Of course, she was unaware of all the prayers lifted ;up on their behalf. The beautiful little girl had a wonderful smile and kept reaching out to grasp my hand. As her mom spoke words of gratitude, joy filled our hearts.
...We were still celebrating the life of this mom and daughter, when another client returned. Seven weeks earlier, she had left declaring there was no way she would continue the pregnancy and give birth to her child. One of our counselors remembered how her head hung low as she walked out the door. After choosing life, she is now standing tall with a smile on her face and ready to join our LEAP (Life Education Assistance Program) classes.
...God knew we needed encouragement and within a single hour, we were doubly blessed. In the past few weeks, there have been heartaches as others, over twenty weeks pregnant, left determined to abort. This day, the Lord assured us that by the power of prayer, He is walking with them. The words they have heard and the ultrasound images they have seen are lingering in their memories. With Him, all things are possible. This year, we have served over a 1,000 new clients. Of these, one-third were contemplating abortion. When they discovered someone cared and was willing to help, 87% chose life."
